It starts with a quote

Please contact us with the details of your work and we will prepare a written quote for you within 48 h. Please provide as much detail as possible, including anticipated level of edit (substantive, standard, light), subject matter, required timescales, size and format of document (number of words), any particular requirements for style (such as a particular journal or house style), rounds of edit required (just one or do you need the revisions to be reviewed also?).

Confidentiality

The work will not be disclosed to a third-party and remains the property of the author. At times, an NDA may be required or similar confidentiality agreement. I work under UK law and adhere to the principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulations.

Agreement

The agreement for the work will detail the expected level of editing required, the format of the edit and any marked up comments, the deadline for returning the first edit and whether subsequent edits will be required, the agreed quote for the work, and method and timing of payment.

Quality commitment

We agree to carry out editing that it is free from errors and in line with the standard expected. If required, house style will be applied so that the work complies with necessary formatting guidelines.

Accepted document types

We can edit using a variety of formats, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PDF, and also have a great deal of experience with online editing platforms (such as DigiEdit).
